P.A.P.A. (Preserve And Protect Animals)

How You Can Help Us Help the Animals:

• Adopt and don't shop: So many great animals are available for adoption at the Ventura County Animal Shelter. Your new pet will be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their shots and licensed for the County of Ventura as part of their adoption process for a minimal amount of monies. You would be saving not only your new pet's life, but another one as you generate an open space for the next one coming in!

• Get involved: Volunteer with the shelter or a local rescue group that is supporting the goals of P.A.P.A. to achieve a no-kill facility at the Camarillo shelter. EVERYONE has something to offer that will help save a life ~~~ be it time, resources, ideas, financial support, etc.

• Specific and immediate needs:

1. Contacts in media so we can start to get some publicity and community involvement for these endeavors and goals

2. 'Celebrity' types willing to get involved

3. Links to other rescue webs and resources

4. New/creative locations for adoption events

5. Volunteers willing to be responsible for an event or specific project

6. Volunteers to take turns manning the rescue e-mail account at the shelter. (requires attending shelter orientation; e-mail savvy; commit 1 or more hours mid-day, one or more days a week)

Donations

• Financial donations are being taken by TLC (Tiny Loving Canines, Inc.) online HERE and handed over to PAPA's efforts - these monies are used for shelter bailout fees, airline transportation costs and crate costs ONLY. You will receive a tax donation receipt in the mail directly from TLC.

• Crates - airline approved crates are greatly needed - contact us if you have any you wish to donate, or they can be dropped off at the PETCO in Moorpark, CA.
